3 Tips for Fitness Success

 

 

MostFit founder Andrew Gavigan shares 3 Tips for Fitness Success from setting goals, recognizing small successes, and how to stay motivated and on track. 

Tip #1: Set Good Goals

It's OK to aspire toward a certain amount of weight loss or weight gain, or a certain performance level, or even a certain biometric goal, but remember goals need to be obtainable and varied. Even just showing up for a workout can be a goal. This way you will have a new success every day and your small successes can keep you motivated and on the right track. After all, showing up is the hardest part. 

Tip #2: Partner Up

Find a partner. It can be a friend who is on their own fitness journey or a fitness professional like a personal trainer. A partner will keep you accountable and on track. They will also help to make your workout a more enjoyable one. when someone is there to share the journey, your chance for success is much higher. 

Tip #3: Track It

Journaling or using a tracking app such as FitBit, Lifesum, Lose It, My Fitness Pal, etc., can be a very effective way to gain success with your new healthy habits. Tracking will help you realize the progress and reward of what you've already accomplished as well as help you avoid the mistakes you've already made.
