Core Hammer Lunge w/ Twist - Dynamic Functional Training

The Core hammer Lunge w/ Twist is a great combination of core strength, inner thigh, shoulders, glutes, biceps, and of course cardiovascular exercise. You can always add a slam at the end too. To do this exercise safely and correctly, start with the Core hammer in the Hammer grip. Step back into a deep lunge and twist your torso over the front leg. Make an extra effort to squeeze your thighs toward your midline (or pretend you can squeeze them together), this will keep your hips in line. Return back to your starting position and repeat.
