Post Workout Cookie Recipes!

You are working your butt off in the gym, making gains but still having trouble with your sweet tooth, and missing all of the things that you think you want.  Well there are ways to work around this, to have your desserts, while still getting the best out of your healthy living.

Here are a couple of PROTEIN COOKIE recipes to help you with this.  These are best to have Post Workout, when your body can use the sugar, fats and proteins the most to repair your muscles. Plus.. they are really tasty treats that aren’t breaking the bank in the calorie department.

These recipes can of course be modified for your own personal dietary needs and any allergies you may have.  But some of the best ones that we have found to smooth over the sweet tooth, while still helping keep up with the results you want in the gym.

Peanut Butter Protein Cookie Recipe

All you need are:

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup vanilla whey protein powder*
  • 1 egg

*Personally I prefer using whey when I bake. This protein powder is used in place of sugar so make sure you use one you think is sweet and like the taste of!

Direction: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix ingredients (it’s one egg the pic shows two). Drop spoonful’s of batter on cookie sheet. Press down in crisscross pattern with a fork. Bake for 7-10 minutes or until done. Eat.

TRAIL MIX COOKIES

Here’s what I used:
2 ripe bananas
2 c. oats
1/2 c. vanilla protein powder
1/4 c. chia seeds
1/4 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. almonds
1/2 c. dried cranberries

Mash the bananas and oats together first.

Then, combine additional ingredients.

Scoop mixture into small balls (think golf balls) and place on cookie sheet. You may want to spray the sheet with Pam first.

Bake at 350* for 14-16 minutes.
