MostFit Trainer Tip - Reduce Lower Back Pain for Pregnant Women

This week's MostFit Trainer tip comes from Ambassador Colleen Flaherty of Baby Bump Academy

Abductor and flute strength are important for pregnant women

Strong Glutes Protect the Lower Back

Studies show that abductor, adductor, and gluteus maximus strength significantly reduce lower back pain in pregnant women. I’ll add that it’s important for postpartum women as well because their core is now overly stretched, putting low back at increased risk of injury. The Most-Fit mini loop is a great tool to easily integrate the firing up and strengthening of this group of muscles. 10 Lateral, forward, and backwards steps is a simple warm up for pregnant and postpartum clients.
