Start with a squat and scoop movement. Step out into a lunge and extend the core hammer out is if you were scooping up some coal and then feeding it into a furnace. Develop a smooth rhythm and repeat.

Athletes come in all shapes and sizes, just as non-athletes do. This photograph is one of many of Howard Shatz's images which captures the beautiful diversity of athletes and their sport. As you can see, one size does not fit all.
It's also the time of the year where ESPN launches their annual Body Issue, showing world-class athletes baring all. The photographs and interviews are compelling as these athletes share their challenges, their vulnerabilities, and how they have embraced their bodies despite being bullied and told things like, "You're too fat to be seen with," as Amanda Bingson openly shares in her interview. If you take the time to read the interviews, there is a common message that these athletes want to share. They want you to find your passion whether or not that is in athletics. They want you to pursue that passion. They want you to embrace your body, no matter what size or shape you are.
Adopting a healthier lifestyle and being the MostFit you can be doesn't mean that you have to be a world-class athlete. It doesn't even mean that you have to work out 5 days a week. It means that you practice self-care and find ways to practice healthy daily habits, which cultivates health, happiness and balance. The important thing to remember here is one size does not fit all. Your spouse may thrive on running, while you prefer gardening. Your BFF may thrive on weight-lifting, while your neighbor thrives on Yoga. If you're looking to adopt a healthier lifestyle and don't know where to begin, start with walking, eating whole foods, and getting enough water and rest. If you're already set in a routine, mix it up. Cross training keeps your body on it's toes and mixing things up helps to prevent injuries due to repetition. Another thing most of us who live in the city can do is spend time in nature and with people who lift you up. Practice sitting in stillness, unplugged from WIFI for 3 mins a day. Replace negative self-talk with empowering self-talk. Let go of comparison. Laughter is medicine. So are hugs. So are deep breaths. So go ahead and take one. Inhale, pause. Exhale, smile. :)
Andrew Gavigan founded MostFit in 2012 as a means to develop effective, more accessible fitness equipment. Andrew controls the general operations of MostFit as well as managing AGFwellness a corporate wellness service provider that provide various health and fitness services to different types of companies across the Los Angeles area.
Andrew, who created products like our MostFit Core Hammer, thinks that "fitness can be simple, but that doesn't mean it's easy". He claims that even though fitness might be as simple as taking a short walk around the office, it still seems in accessible to some people. "fitness professionals, healthcare professionals, and the community at large are doing a great job of encouraging simple steps and more accessibility to knowledge and health culture. We want MostFit to be a part of that" he says.

Growing up, I spent a lot of childhood on the North Shore of Kauai in Kilauea Town. Every morning, my dad and I would walk or bike 2 miles to the Kilauea Local Bakery for one of their fabulous Morning Glory muffins.
Serves: Makes 8-12 muffins (2 for breakfast or 1 for a snack)
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
1 Cup Shredded Unsweetened Coconut
1/3 Cup Almond Flour 6 Egg Whites
1⁄2 Cup Unsweetened apple sauce
1 Tsp. Baking powder
1 Tsp. Baking soda
1 Tsp. Ground cinnamon
11⁄2 Tsp. Pumpkin pie spice
1/8 Tsp. Sea salt
1/4 Cup Truvia
2 Tablespoons Almond butter 1 Cup Blueberries 1⁄2 Cup Walnuts
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Line muffin pan with paper liners.
In a stand mixer or by hand, combine all ingredients and mix until well combined. Using an ice cream scoop, scoop even amount of batter into prepared muffin pan.
Bake for 10 minutes on the middle rack. Remove from the oven and add the blueberries. Continue cooking for 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
